HEDDphone D1

A new HEDDphone® built for true listening, the D1 delivers the clarity, realism, and tonal integrity of a reference monitor. Every note feels balanced and immediate, details are revealed without fatigue, and the carefully engineered fit ensures lasting comfort for extended sessions.

The D1 is the world’s first dynamic headphone with a Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD). Developed with Swedish company Composite Sound, specialists in advanced audio diaphragms, the D1 combines HEDD’s 40 years of acoustic expertise with advanced material science.

Built with precision, purpose, and material integrity, the HEDDphone® D1 delivers reference-grade accuracy and balance. Made for those who are serious about sound.

Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm

At the heart of the D1 lies a diaphragm made from Thin-Ply Carbon, an advanced composite used in extreme applications from Formula 1 cars to NASA’s Mars helicopter Ingenuity. In headphone design, it becomes something entirely new: TPCD eliminates the need for traditional damping at the diaphragm level, enabling faster, cleaner and more accurate performance.

Custom Dynamic Driver

Dynamic headphones have long balanced compromises such as speed versus stability or weight versus comfort. Drawing on four decades of R&D experience, and the expertise of Composite Sound, HEDD has engineered the core of the D1 driver to deliver studio-grade precision for personal listening. The result is sound that is detailed, balanced, and fatigue-free.

Universal Performance

With 32 Ω impedance and 100 dB sensitivity, the D1 performs consistently across sources from portable players to dedicated amplifiers. It also scales gracefully with higher-end systems while maintaining control and balance.

The Sound of HEDDphone® D1

Clarity and Balance
The D1’s TPCD driver delivers a new level of sonic clarity and tonal accuracy, revealing detail and realism that are rare among dynamic headphones. It bridges the intimacy of headphone listening with the precision of studio monitors.

Comfort and Immersion
Thanks to the diaphragm’s low mass and compact architecture, the driver remains light and responsive, enabling long, fatigue-free sessions and a natural sense of immersion.

Compatibility and Scalability
With 32 Ω impedance and 100 dB sensitivity, the D1 connects easily to most playback devices, while its performance scales gracefully with premium amplification.
